What a joke. Cairns council needs to listen to the locals for once instead of just turning everything into concrete.

My kids use this park every weekend. Greg Fennell is completely out of touch with what the families here actually want.

Total incompetence from the council here. They blame the kids for everything instead of doing their job properly.

Without an adequate consultative process, it is impossible to gauge whether the proposal for the demolition of the Trinity Beach skatepark, supported by Barron River MP Michael Trout and Division 9 councillor Greg Fennell, adequately aligns with the greater sentiment of the taxpaying members of the community residing within the geographical locale for which they are voted in to represent. As a matter of opinion, the fact that Mr Greg Fennell has been quoted as saying 'This will be a car park, as simple as that.' without any formal consultation process could, in the context it was taken, possibly be interpreted as high level of arrogance & disdain toward his constituents.
