I do not attend St Marylebone School from this year, however my time there from year 7-11 was amazing and I know certainly through watching many drama productions that Ms Mathewson was amazing with the lighting an drew made a real impact. Imagine watching a play with the same white light throughout. How would you ensure the change of scenes and dramatic effects? I strongly believe that St Marylebone should reconsider this case as she's a wonderful teacher and is very nice. Even though I was never taught by her I know what a huge impact she's given to the school and the school has benefited a lot from this. St Marylebone if you care about the students I strongly believe you should reconsider to benefit all staff and students!!

As an arts student, i know how important it is to have a genuinely supportive and driven teacher guiding you through one of the most intensively draining but ultimately rewarding industries.

Tracy has always been the type of woman to chase her dreams, catch them and then keep on reaching for the next star. Her dreams took her to England where she has built a wonderful life and continued to fulfill her life's dreams. I know the children she impacts in her work with the school are stars she has caught. But, I have no doubt that since reaching these young stars, they've shined a bit brighter from her influence. She's inspired me on many occasions as a partner in theatre and continues to do so from half a world away. I know she is where she ought to be, as I don't believe Tracy would have it any other way. She serves a profound purpose wherever she goes. Her light alone, is reason enough to reconsider removing her position. However, if you need more, take her knowledge, experience, wisdom, professionalism, talent, charisma, enthusiasm and dedication as reasons to keep her not only in this school, but in the country.

She has been a determined and inspirational asset to the performing arts department who has enriched so many young people's lives; both with the in-school productions as well as the Fringe shows each year. I hope the school will consider that it is practitioners like Tracy who set their institution apart and who has been such a driving force in providing the opportunity and spaces for their students to thrive. In an age of increasing threat to the performing arts in UK education it is more important than ever that department's like St Marylebone's continue to thrive and retain valuable practitioners such as Tracy.

Having known Ms. Mathewson for 5 years I have seen first hand the impact that her professional life and work commitments have on her free time. In a profession that can suck up the days it is a testament to her passion and her character that she has never once let her enthusiasm wane. She approaches each day with such life and vitality and, having worked I'm schools for 7 years, I can happily say I have never witnessed any drama productions as professional as those she has worked on - either at St. Marylebone or the Crowded Nest productions I have been lucky enough to witness at the Fringe. Happy Girl was one of the most interesting, honest and fresh takes on female adolescence I have seen and Tracy's ability to draw out the ideas from the performers and craft it into something they have ownership over is truly unique. Outside of work she is active in the South London film making community and her recent short film Appellation showed her exceptional drive, focus and ability. The loss of her visa through dismissal would be a loss to both St. Marylebone and to a far broader body of people who have come to appreciate her dearly.

Tracy has enriched and inspired my life a great deal, being here in London. I would be devastated to see her have to leave and to see her skills and expertise unused at the school. Having seen one of her productions at the school, the set was really brought to life with her technical abilities in sound and lighting. It would be a great loss to this country, with her taking part in short film screenings and working with local film makers,actors, writers and businesses in her ventures.

She deserves to stay. She has been a dedicated employee for many years with a passion for what she does and That is a rare thing to come by! When budget cuts happen schools are always so quick to cut arts but that is wrong! Arts teach Students things that history, math, English can't. It teaches passion, patience, confidence! Tracy embodies this idea and taking her from this school thus leading to taking her from her home, this country, would be a regrettable loss.

In a top Performing Arts School in central London, there is no doubt in my mind that as a result of Tracey's dismissal there will be no one qualified or even close to the abilities and creativities of Ms Mathewson's abilities at the school. Marylebone will therefore suffer greatly because of it, as a performing arts school this cannot happen.

Tracey is absolutely brilliant at working with young people and not only helping them but also teaching them. She is a valuable member of staff at St Marylebone School. And I'm sure after seeing the support she has behind her they will realise the value she adds to the school, as I know their main priority is helping students to expand their knowledge base and build their confidence in their abilities.
