While I understand the BOS needs to find cost savings in light of the pandemic, cutting the entire funding for Trackside is extreme and ill conceived. Basically, the town is saying, we don't care about Wilton teens.

Trackside is an invaluable resource for our community. It provides a safe and fun environment for Wilton's tweens and teens, and the staff is incredibly caring and extraordinarily dedicated to the families of our community. Please Save Trackside!

The BOS has sent us a message over the last couple of years and that is: We do not support Trackside’s mission, and do not think that Wilton deserves a Teen Center.
Let’s show then they are wrong.

I support funding for Trackside. Trackside is especially important for our tweens and teens who have other interests than sports. It gives them a place to socialize and interact with peers. This is a very important part of the Wilton community.

We are one of the only towns left with a Teen Center. This is a selling point for Realtor's in our Town. Trackside continues to build more and more ways to utilize the facility and accommodate many new faces everyday!

I am against all the cuts to the Trackside Teen Center. It is not only a safe place for kids to go with supervision, but is also the place the Green Teens is able to run its youth gardening program. Many kids attend this weekly program from spring through fall to learn how to plant and harvest healthy, fresh organic produce. It has been the place where Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts earn service hours, and kids learn how to give back to the community when they deliver produce to the Wilton Food Pantry and fresh floral arrangements to the senior center center. It is a gem / please done cut funding.

I go to Trackside for multiple clubs and enjoy there trivia nights among other special activities. I know countless others who also participate in activities held here from Super Smash Bros tournaments to training for a quiz bowl team. I am in full support of this petition as Trackside has impacted many of the youth of Wilton and has done good for the community.

I am so disappointed to hear there could be yet another cut. Don't they know the how crucial it is to support this very important age group through such trying time in their lives. These kids need social interaction, unstructured fun, and a place to unwind outside of their huge school work load and sports schedules. Please keep this gem part of our community based town. I pray my children will be able to use this facility when they are of age.
