Roinn na Gaeltachta held a briefing yesterday about the offer of a ferry service to Tory to explain why they did what they did, they held the briefing in their offices in Galway, which is 11 nautical miles and 293 kilometres by road away from Tory Island, the officials are showing this community contempt, they obviously don't want to answer your questions, they want you take what you are being given and be nice quiet islanders, don't do it, keep resisting, you will win because you are right, do not accept a downgrade and cover the arses of the civil servants

Let the officials travel to Tory by ferry on a rough day instead of whizzing in on helicopters - they haven't a clue what the crossing is like for islanders and they don't care!

The Tory island needs help. It is a beautiful island and wonderful people live here, cultural traditions are kept. This place should be open to residents and tourists.
