TOBINCO PHARMACEUTICALS is a wholly Ghanaian owned business that has been in existence for over ten years and has delivered on its promise of cheap effective quality drugs for the Ghanaian people coupled with providing jobs to thousands of Ghanaians all over the country.Recently TOBINCO has been in the media for some reasons (NOT GOOD).The FOOD AND DRUGS AUTHORITY is in its actions with dealing with TOBINCO in the past few months gradually (BLACKLISTING) it even though it has not officially said so.
As a NAIVE UNEDUCATED CONCERNED CITIZEN OF GHANA,i do not think the regulatory body in question has dealt with TOBINCO the way it should and is hence gradually destroying yet another GHANAIAN company that can in a few years go shoulder to shoulder with GIANTS like GLAXOSMITHKLINE ,unless we think its better we don't empower GHANAIANS.The issue is not whether TOBINCO has done something wrong or not(IF THEY HAVE THEY CAN BE PUNISHED)which i know they have,it is rather the manner in which the FDA is acting.First it says the drugs were FAKE ,then it says UNREGISTERED ,then it moves to DOSSIERS...HAAABAAA...!!!MAYBE WE THINK ITS BEEN A WHILE SINCE WE DESTROYED A FAST GROWING GHANAIAN BUSINESS.TOBINCO was in the finishing stages of instituting a manufacturing plant in GHANA which would have started work in no time.MARKETING EXPERTS would tell you that once the BUSINESS -CUSTOMER trust is lost,nothing can bring it back.
