As a resident of Thoreau st, I vehemently oppose this new proposed planning. Concord is a city with beautiful historic value, and adding condos that are available in every other town around seems redundant. There are already so many luxury condominiums Being built, and the demand is not there. I work in real estate and have for the past 10 years. Bringing in luxury condominiums to take away the only local grocery store and small shopping plaza in this side of town is very reckless and shows that the people planning it or not making about the residence of Concord.

Historic Concord does not need this massive type of developmentbb

The size of this project should be dramatically scaled back. Some development is acceptable near Crosby's, but the amount proposed is hugely excessive and will irreparably damage the character of the town, increase risk of traffic incidents with kids after school, and damage surrounding property values.

Excessive development which removes important stores and amenities.

The proposed changes are just too much for this area. Change is okay, but this needs to be scaled way down, and reimagined to better fit our town, local business, traffic, and appropriate density at this location.

The Depot is completely the wrong place for congestion and loss of accessibility.

I’m all for development but this plan is clearly excessive. Please create a plan for less massive developments.

This town does not belong to the planning board. It belongs to the residents. Why are they trying to circumvent us and deny us our rights?

This plan is much (underline much!) too dense for the existing neighborhood. It would completely change the character of the area and aggravate existing traffic congestion at the corner of Thoreau and Sudbury roads.

This plan is outrageous! How can something like this be allowed to happen?

This would completely change the look and feel of Thoreau Street and area by disregarding what makes Concord a nice and idyllic place to live and raise our families.

We oppose rezoning in the Thoreau Business District that would sanction dense development. The existing low-scale friendly neighborhood mix of residences and small businesses is a welcome change from dense urban development in suburban towns that lack Concord's rural character.

Preserving historic districts, conserving tracts of land…but what’s it all been for if something like this is getting wedged into an already congested area? #NotForConcord

This is a perverse and horrifying idea.

The proposal would do significant damage to Concord and dramatically and negatively change the town,

Totally outrageous! Grew up on Riverdale Rd and now live in West Concord. Happy to share my town, but development is out of control!

I do think Thoreau St. could use some sprucing up, but not this huge development.
