When my daughters were growing up, the whole family looked forward to going to the park and the train. If you'll pardon the pun, please avert this train wreck before it's too late. Austin deserves better than this.

The City should give the operators whatever deal they want; they've been running it for 22 years and doing a fine job so far as I can tell. What a shame to stonewall them and make them shut down. Wonder if some pal of the Mayor or City Council Member or Parks Director is looking at putting in a nicely padded bid to run it?

We’ve lost so many iconic things in Austin please don’t let us lose one more. My son loves the Zilker Zephyr! It is such a highlight for kids who come to the park.

We will not stand for this. It has been in Austin far too long for some govt to shut it down. Admission fees should cover repairs. Not to line pockets.

he Zilker Zephyr Minituare Train is a legend and something my husband experience as a child and we would now like our children to experience. I hope Parks & Rec works with them to remedy the situation...
