Save the Zilker Zephyr. I raised three kids in Austin and it needs to remain for my grandkids and future generations to enjoy.

Please understand that while the city is saying that they are only temporarily closing the train, it is untrue. They are pushing out the family that has run the train for over 20 years due to bidding. They can negotiate the contract and compromise the repairs. ACL puts in sooo much $ to Parks & Rec that this is just an excuse.

The Zilker Zephyr is just one of the many Austin treasures that makes Austin unique and wonderful! It creates special times with people of all ages! I took my kids to ride it, and now my grandkids. It breaks our hearts to think it will close down! Please bring back the train!!

I grew up in Austin! And what’s left of it is slowing disappearing! There are lots of things I only hope when I have kids to let them enjoy as I did as a kid! This was one of them! Please don’t take a piece of Austin away from the real Austinites!

Have loved the train at Zilker Park for years. If the vendor has the expense, they should be able to recover that expense.
