As one of the few people left who is a 6th generation native Texan who grew up in Austin, I hate what the Californians are doing to our beloved city. Please don't take this away. Many generations to come can enjoy as we did growing up.

My kids love the Zypher! It’s in two of my children’s books I read to them! If it HAS to go away, maybe we could make him a permanent addition to the playground!

I rode that when I was 5. Have taken my daughter, nephews ever since. It’s a family tradition and historical marker.

The Zilker Zephyr is one of the few remaining artifacts to remind us of the wonderful town that Austin was at one time. It will be a tragedy to loose it.

An Austin institution. Sometimes progress is negative.

Please save the Zephyr. Don’t be “that Austin” that everyone writes about. So many including me and my family love and adore that train and park. Please. Please save the Zephyr.

Why can't the park department fix the erosion problem caused by flooding in the park? The operating company wasn't having problems running the train until flooding from other areas of the park washed out the tracks. Seems like that's a city of Austin issue and not the operating company's issue.

I rode it, my kids have ridden it & I’d like to make sure their kids can ride it too.

I was excited to finally have the chance to take my kids on a train that is local , I hope we’re able to save it ! And bring it back!!

My kids grew up riding that train, and now I watch my nieces & nephews enjoy it. So many memories, including my son’s 5th birthday party in Zilker, where we paid to have all of guests ride the train.

We hadn’t yet gotten a chance to ride with our kids but were so eagerly waiting the re-opening, disheartened to know we may never get the chance!

Traditions should always be saved. It a nostalgic Legacy that should be passed down from generation to generation.

The train is not only a train; it's the people that have operated it for so long as well.
