Critical areas, such as the protein rich cutworm moth sources are not protected nor is the habitat connectivity linking these locations. Every single food source is critical to the survival of bears. FWS is NOT protecting the species, they are protecting ranchers and hunters desire to kill off bears/

The problem is not with the bears it is with the people. The parks need to limit the number of visitors who will need to stay in their cars where they will be safe. People are attacked because they are in the bears' territory and show a lack of respect and intelligence as to this species. People...stay in your cars, stop feeding them and leave the bears alone!!

Please don't let this happen. These gorgeous animals do not deserve to be killed for acting on natural instinct. Humans are responsible for what happens to them when exploring animal territory. We shouldn't hurt these bears, (especially not the cubs!) , because they defend themselves. Stop the cruelty.

Lance Crosby was invading the bears' territory and the bears should not be punished for his foolish actions.

I agree with Charlotte. Why not kill every mother or father trying to protect their children? Humans and animals alike!

Grizzly bears are sacred and we need more predator species.

This petition says it all. Why kill wild bears or any wild animal when humans knowingly excurge where they live with all the dangers that entails. killing one animal is not going to cause a behavioural shift in the whole species toward humans who knowingly hike in their habitats.

We wouldn't kill a human mother for protecting her babies

The bear was only acting on natural instincts as the guy was in HER natural environment and she had her CUBS nearby so was protecting them

Do we kill every hunter who takes down other animals??? Sheesh, and there are way fewer of these bears than there are humans - closer to being endangered than we are!

Saw it on news earlier and hunting them down to kill just ain't fair. The bears did what they do with instinct. But then again it is in US so any excuse to kill, right?

Just totally agree, ridiculous to punish a protective mum, in HER home.

she was protecting her young - disturbed by a human. She should not pay the ultimate price for protecting her family
