Notwithstanding the fact that this was about to become a protected building, surely it must be the imperative job and value of a council or government to be considerate to the environment, and save money, which is raised from taxing the population they look after. If this building is intact, untouched and serviceable, it should be used as such. Concrete is a very un-environmentally friendly material, and decreasing its lifetime, massively impacts the ecological damage to the world. Using this building until the natural end of its life, or even cladding it when the time comes that the concrete can no longer be exposed, would be a much cheaper and beneficial solution to all.

1. I implore the government to reconsider the decision to keep the Høyblokka, and to tear down all these ugly and impractical buildings at their earliest convenience.
2. I request that the artwork be kept, and put to proper use in other projects.
3. I want Norwegian politics and policiticians to be less influenced by public emotion and political correctness, and more focused on cost efficient and practical solutions.
