With each passing week, the divas are given less and less time for their matches. They come out to the ring, sporting around flashy outfits, only to wrestle two to four minute matches. Sometimes even less than that. If anything, the women are being mistreated by the company. They work just as hard. They train just as hard. I'm sure women like Lita and Trish Stratus didn't work their asses off just to watch the Divas Division dwindle in WWE's grasp. On the most recent SmackDown, shot on the 24th to be aired on the 27th, Aksana beat Natalya in a five-second match through a roll-up. Rumor has it that the Hart is facing the same situation Jillian Hall did. In other words, there's a likely chance Natalya could be let go after WrestleMania this year. This past Summer, Melina and Maryse — two very lovely women who could kick some serious ass — were let go. Although Maryse's release was mutual, it doesn't change the fact that she was still let go. Michelle McCool also left the Divas division this past year, having retired. Bottom line is that the numbers are oh so tauntingly decreasing with each passing second. Fan or not, your signature would be greatly appreciated. These women have trained and trained and trained, and for what? Nothing. They deserve opportunities — opportunities that they have yet to be given. Finlay said it best when he spoke about the Divas. “Those girls are so beautiful, and most of them are models, but every single one of them that I’ve worked with has got a passion to be in the ring. If they didn’t – they wouldn’t be there. I know nothing about football, absolutely nothing. And I can sit and watch and pull it apart, but I can’t go in and do it. Opinions are like backsides, everybody’s got one. I think the girls are very unfortunate that people try to pull them apart. They’re not as good as this, not as good as that. The WWE needs to recognize the fact that the Divas deserve the chance to prove that they're more than just pretty faces. Now is the time to save the Divas Division so it can once again prosper.
