It is very important to preserve what seems by far to be the world's oldest continually operating tattoo shop in the same physical location. To not preserve this piece of cultural history would be a serious loss to the global art community.

I first heard of Tattoo Ole in a John Irving book - never imaged at the time that we would move here and that my son would get his fist tattoo there!

We keep our connections to our history and to ourselves alive by showing respect for the significant places of our past. Nyhavn 17 represents so much of tattoo culture that is loved at a time when cultural icons are needed. Please keep a place open that allows people moved by a connection to history to visit and stand with the ghosts of great tattooers and listen to the echoes of their legacy!

This is too important party of the tattoo history for destroyers it ! It will be great to do a museum of this place , the new tattooists and all the tattoo fans can visit this place like a monument !
