What a shame that such an amazingly historic shop would be closed for a kitchen!!! How terrible. I've been in the industry for only 6 years. But the history is so amazing and rich. This relic needs to stay!! Perhaps it even needs to be registered an historic landmark!

Be a shame to turn such beautiful shop into an expanded kithen. .. over 100 years of history wiped away for a food closet. Let them be and enjoy the beautiful art that hangs on the walls and the beautiful art that comes out on people's bodies. It's a historic site!

Just because it's a tattoo parlour its not less important to the culture and history of Copenhagen. Keep it open

Recently I discovered the travel-diaries of my (deceased) parents. In 1958 they visited Copenhagen for the first time, to visit friends they met earlier in a youth-hostel. These friends took them to Nyhavn. My parents were then in their late twenties, from a small town in the south of Holland. They wrote in their diary: "Now we are going to the harbor district of Copenhagen. I think it's very luguber and sinister. Some drunk guy bothered me, Rita and Kinge said: "Come on, walk fast, because that guy is looking for a fight." Michael (my father) wanted to see how you became tattooed, but I was so sorry that I went in, because that was a scary thing.
There were a father and mother with a child who came to give their child a tattoo. I could not think of such a thing. It was just terrible. I can imagine a drunken sailor does this, but that a man with his full mind does something like this…! Awful! I was glad we were away from that neighborhood. What we saw here, there are no words to be found for."... Reading these words from my parents, having a tattoo (not from Ole though) myself, I agree with Frank and Majbritt that it would be a disgrace to destroy this cultural and important place of tattoo history!

So much history. Northen Europe's first tatoo shop, Denmark's first tatoo shop... etc. etc. Why is this little piece of history not a protected property???
Please save it... and don't let "need more money = a bigger kitchen" be an argument for destroying a legacy.
