Please do not destroy our woods. My children ride their bikes on the Murry Run trail and have spent countless hours making memories in these woods.

The wooded area on the former Shenandoah Life property has for decades been a hidden treasure for the community surrounding the property. Abundant in wildlife and diverse in plant life, residents of the adjacent neighborhood enjoy it for recreation, exercise, and as a place of reflection and meditation. The quality of life of our neighborhood is exceptional because of this beloved wooded property.

Love the trails for a run or a walk. While I'm happy to see the existing building turned into apartments, it seems like a tremendously heavy-handed (& unwelcome) move to develop the entire property at the expense of the woods there, which is a big part of what makes that a nice place to begin with. While density is important, it seems like such a waste of a popular amenity, and at direct odds with the City's outdoor recreation strategy. The whole thing gives the impression of a lazy, thoughtless approach at best, and a downright callous, spiteful approach at worst. Not a great project.

This plan will be detrimental to this neighborhood if completed as described by the developer. There must be some other ways Carilion can "use resources wisely" that don't include destroying natural habitat and property values.

Green spaces are needed. We have a brand new apartment complex in NW Roanoke that isn't even completed yet.

I am opposed to having a peaceful and pristine woodland site used for walking intruded upon by buildings, lights, and asphalt as well as more traffic congestion.

Beautiful area within the city limits-the wildlife in those woods is a natural classroom for parents and grandparents.
The citizens of the Roanoke Valley have been very supportive if Carilion-----there needs to be some reciprocity on the part of Carilion!
KEEP THE SHENANDOAH WOODS!

I sincerely hope Carillion makes the right decision for the community. The trails and wooded areas are frequented by more than just the neighborhood it backs up to. This area simply cannot handle the traffic, and the surrounding neighborhoods would be negatively impacted. Roanoke is trying to grow itself as a city that prides itself in green space - this isn't the way to do it. Please show more respect for the parts of our town that lure people in.

Carillon should be ashamed of destroying Greenspan that so many people, of all ages, use to stay healthy. People not just in the neighborhood surrounding the property. People come from all over to use that property. Carillon could have developed the property to encourage the community and it's own employees to come out and use it. Workout trails. Wildlife watching. Install benches. Tree and plant identifiers, encouraging local scout units to use it during development of merit badges. Truly shameful Carillon put the mighty $ before supporting it's own community who support them.

We want to preserve the woodlands and the beautiful trails and nature within. The run off from up the hill with storm water is already problematic enough as is. We need the forest up there!
