This victim hood epidemic is out of control. It's is part of America's pastime to have mascots which are celebrated. Are Cowboys offensive? 49ers? Fighting Irish? Gaucho? Titans? Patriots? How dare they! See its easy to be a victim. We need adults and leaders in our schools that will stand up to petulant children and say NO! Oh the horror! Mascots are chosen as something strong that you fight for and take pride in. People who take it otherwise have been mislead. We're letting emotions trump logic and it's killing western civilization.

As a future warrior I believe we should leave the Orginal logo alone, that was the logo for my grandfather, dad, and now brother, I can't wait to be a warrior!

Save the mascott. Why should we have to change it. The Native Americans are not offended by only our weak minded politicians with their hands out are offended.

If this was about pride you should be proud to have s high school sports team represent the chiefs head dress. It's the highest honor you could have as an Indian/warrior. I am proud to be a winters warrior

The Warrior to me is a representation of strength and bravery and pride. Not sure why the anyone would feel like it represents anything other than that. If we are no suppose to think the the native Americans as strong and proud, how are we suppose to think of them? If we take away all of the Native American symbols what are young kids now and in the future suppose to look at to remember them???

Once a Warrior, Always a Warrior. Our Warrior head should not be removed as our Mascot because of hurting others' feelings

I am of Native American descent and I am in no way offended by it. I am also an alumni cheerleader and was proud to wear the mascot.

While I think the Redskin name is completely innapropriate and should be changed as it has historically been a derogatory term for Native Americans I have never felt that way about the Warrior symbolism. Obviously kids should not be running around in headdresses. I'm interested to hear why the mascot is offensive to the tribe and if it can be worked with rather than eliminated. I was always proud of the Warrior name and honored to be associated with Native American heritage if not by blood but by respect.

So sad...Warrior a symbol of strength and pride, a fighter who defends. What is wrong with that?

Absolutely ridiculous! It's a total shame this has moved into this direction! Offensive? How about being offensive to WHS and our community that the Tribe's philanthropy has attachments to it. Money buys whatever you want!!! But, not if we allow it! I hope everyone stands up to support our imagery. It's the face of Winters High School!!
