SeaWorld owns twenty-three orcas in captivity in the United states. Since being established in 1959 over 45 orcas have died under the companies “care.” My BA 160 group is trying to find a solution to this inhumane containment-with hopes of establishing laws preventing companies like seaworld to breed and hold orcas and other sea mammals. By signing this petition you are protesting the breeding program and asking state reps to establish stricter laws regarding quality of life for these orcas. These request a healthier diet, expansion of enclosures, and extermination of any breeding or shows from the orcas.
