Petition regarding the Westgate Centre (application: 2011/3121) We, the undersigned, oppose the plans to redevelop the Westgate Centre because: • The type of offices proposed are difficult to let in this area and a change of use in future years is likely; • The type of small business units available at the Westgate Centre are in very short supply; • Hackney needs the kind of businesses that are currently at the Westgate Centre to provide jobs; • The building proposed is too high and will look over London Fields Primary Schools' playground.
