HERE’S WHAT THE PETITION IS ABOUT:

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln has proposed in a second round of budget cuts to completely eliminate the Dance Program, which is a part of the Glenn Korff School of Music. This would not only be devastating for current and aspiring dance students in Nebraska and throughout the country, but it would also greatly affect and diminish the Lincoln arts community as a whole. If this proposed elimination happens, that would mean there would be no available college or university in the state of Nebraska that would offer dance as a degree. It would also mean that UNL would be the only school in the Big Ten that does not have a Dance Program. This simply cannot happen. If you think that arts are valuable, and a vital part of our lives and our humanity, please consider signing this petition. Thank you!
