My late husband, Tony Coslett-Derby, was Towage Manager at Red Funnel, and Calshott was the premier tug of the fleet. A superb boat.

This vessel is a historic and worthy of funding to get it to a point where it can help fund itself similar to the Shieldhall.
Not every project needs to be profit based. SCC has completely lost its ideals and grasp on what Southampton heritage is.

please do not scrap this boat, we have little in the way of old floating stock left from this era. Life is not just about finances... it's memories for us all now and for the future generation.

We've lost too many of our historic ships, especially in the past few years to the scrap man. This would be great to be saved and used as a museum tender, taking passengers out on it and informing them of it's history whilst they are on it.

Please save this vessel. My dad was a tug man on this tug for many years, Ken Robinson. I also shared moments on board when I was young

I really hope this wonderful ship is saved. I would have thought as it is on the Historical Ships Register it would be totally illegal to proceed with any form of demolition whatsoever.

I really hope that this wonderful ship I saved . I would have thought that it would be an actual crimininal act punishable by law. As it is on The Historical Ships Register.
Great to see as a kid and lots of memories
