Trees are a gift of Nature. They supply us with pure oxygen, maintain the temperature of our surroundings and also attract rainfall. Without trees even metropolitan cities like Gurugram are sure to become gas chambers, full of undesirable pollution. Where Gurugram is already in a state of high pollution levels and is suffering a bad air quality, trees are the need of the hour. It is a really sorry and disappointing state that instead of further plantation of these trees many of them are being ridiculously cut for the insane reason of beautification of a company that wants to build flats. Though it is considerable that the company (Godrej)has acquired the land but they haven't acquired the trees and neither can't they ever. Trees are a gift of Nature and Nature alone. Nobody and nobody can own them. These trees are responsible for the well being of the people of Gurugram. The company has also dropped over huge boards which have blocked the access to sunlight in many houses. I thoroughly request you to sign this petition as a movement forward for the prohibition of the cutting of trees that is taking place at Sector 3, Gurugram at Godrej habitat. The company had already cut many of the trees And wants to cut further more. It is you and I alone that can make a difference. With this petition we request the authorities of The ministry of environment to prohibit such activities and take strict action against these people. It is not for you or me alone but for the cause of whole Gurugram. The company (Godrej) would stop any further cutting of trees and would plant double the number of trees it had cut down.
