All Trees, including but not limited to the targeted Redwood and Oak trees are marvelously beautiful and extremely important creations of GOD. As stewards of this planet, we humans must strive to protect this wonderful tree species, and all other tree species for that matter. This world would really be a much less safer and beautiful place without trees. Please consider every single tree species, sub-species, and singularity seriously, and be thankful to GOD for this priceless gift and creation.

I've been very unhappy about the cutting of trees and greenery all along Miner Road. If they were merely trimming away dead debris or windowing the trees that would be fine. Miner Rd use to be such a charming road. It's very disappointing

I grew up in my grandparent’s house that my grandfather built in 1963. Our property adjoins Bien Venida where OCC intends to cut these 10-15 magnificent, healthy redwoods. As a very young child my grandfather taught me redwood trees are precious. They are treasures to be protected and admired and shared with all living creatures for generations to come. A few years before my grandfather suddenly passed away he planted 2 baby redwood trees in the back of our property. 15 years later they are healthy young trees stretching up to the sky 20-30 feet. To think the OCC would even consider cutting down 100+ year old redwood trees is horrible and disgusting. Have you stood under those trees and looked up into their infinite branches? These branches and trees are the homes to many animals and birds! Have you touched the soft, furry red bark and felt the cushiony needles under your feet as you stand next to a tree that has grown there for at least 100 years? Have you tried to wrap your arms around these trees but they are too large to reach your hands on the other side? Have you thought about the creek that runs below these trees and your precious green that will lose the support from their magnificent roots? It is the wrong solution to remove these trees! They are a part of all of our history and should be a part of all of our futures! These 15 redwood trees are irreplaceable to our community, the ecosystem and the world! Clearly redwood forests are disappearing at a time when they should be protected. We also know many trees are dying in this historic drought. The redwood trees OCC wantS to remove are healthy and important! If the OCC truly values the historical significance of their club to Orinda as a part of the community they will not remove these trees. Millions of dollars have been spent on preserving the history as well as improving the buildings of the club for the future. The grounds should be no different! Do you think the DeLaveaga’s would cut down the trees a

I'm sure these redwoods were part of the original de Laveaga property when Orinda was first formed. Please do not chop them down. They also shield the home behind them from much of the road noise on Minor Road.

not only does the removal of the trees impact soil but bird and other animal habitat.

It is certainly disturbing that the Country Club would consider cutting down these trees in the face of community opposition. It certainly doesn't show concern for the environment

OCC, please do not cut down these trees, they are an asset to the community.

I think the 10th hole is the most beautiful on the course and should be our signature hole. It would be a crime to cut down those redwoods! The green has survived for many years with the redwoods intact and would survive for many more years without that butchery.

Save the trees!! Things have gone out of hand when the skill of hitting a little white ball into a tiny hole outweighs the beauty and nature around os that make us whole.

I am not sure if the plan is to remove all the trees, but if it is I strongly oppose it. If it is to remove only one or two and there is a good reason, then I suppose that is ok. But if the only reason is improving drainage and making the green somewhat better because of more sun and improved drainage then it shouldn't be done. I'll happily put up with the green as it has been rather than improve it at the expense of losing those fantastic, basically irreplaceble trees.

Find a less radical way than removal of all the trees.
