Its sad that the powers that be would want to get rid of this beautiful structure rather than have the family bring it up to code or get the proper permits.

Come on OC/Los Alamitos Council, Code Enforcement and whomever else is involved! You can allow an exception. At the very least, require the owner to make the structure safe per your guidance rather than just tear it down. =/ On Pine St (West side) cs/st Farquar, there's an large decrepit looking tree house in the front yard which looks questionable and no one's complained.

this is insane. This is on someone's property not in the park row which belongs to the city. I see this as just another attempt to get money from the citizens. Barns are left to fall down on their own. I am sure however the resident would take it down prior to it becoming like an old barn.

This tree house is a beautiful masterpiece and work of art. Let this family keep this special tribute to their father/husband. Isn't there more pressing issues in the world than a tree house built in memory of someone's life?? C'mon now....
