I can't believe that the city doesn't have anything better to do then harass this family for a tree house that's beautiful people life is short how hard is it to have some compassion for you fellow man and worry about yourself

Why no permits from the get go? That way this whole emotional situation could have been avoided. Just like you can't add a second story to your home without permits, same for a 3 story tree house. Not to mention the 67 year old tree.

Just let them keep the treehouse its to memorialize the kids father who passed away. To make them take it down would be heartbreaking.
