The commemorative treehouse is a beautiful site! In my opinion this family did nothing wrong as they did acknowledge the city's codes by inquiring about a permit, so the blame falls at the city's feet as at the time it had no codes enforcement for permits pertaining to this venture, therefore it is indeed an item that should be "grandfathered" and allowed to remain. Do not tear down what is an inspiration, a dream of so many, and memories of so few!

Please let them keep their treehouse. If they paid $16,000 to have it built you know that it was quality construction. It is not hurting anybody and it a wonderful memorial to their late husband/Father.

This is a beautiful work of art and a professionally built treehouse.- not at all an unsightly structure. It looks pretty darn solid and safe to me. If safety is the issue, the homeowner will prove to you that this is safe.
The "City" and "HOAs" are just a bunch of bullies.
