As of November 25, 2014 Douglas Country has partnered with Castle Pines Village Homes Association and Castle Pines Metro District to establish a quiet zone that stretches the span on Highway 85 from Castle Rock,CO to Sedalia, CO that does not allow the train to honk its horn at the 7 crossings that fall within this area.
These groups put the no quiet zone into effect for no reason other than that some of the people living near this train horn consider it a nuisance.

Not only us this a safety hazard, but it is also a piece of history that will be taken away. If action is not taken, the quiet zone will become permanent after 1 year.

Please help save the train horn, peoples lives, and the history of the great locomotive.
