Dear Archbishop. Around the world, many young people (especially the converted & reverted ones) are drawn to the Traditional Latin Mass. Somehow, like actor Shia Labeouf who played as Padre Pio, they were attracted to and prefer the old tradition, complete with their incense, reverence and meditative style worship that gave focus on God.
If we are serious in wanting to keep young people in the church, or bringing more people into our “dying” church, we should give people an option to choose where they want to worship. We are the young people are looking for something different than what the world to offer. We have been dooped by the world and Traditional Latin Mass does really help the soul, mind and spirit to focus on something out of this world. Thank you for your consideration to reverse your decision to cancel the Traditional Latin Mass at St Monica’s Walkerville and Sacred Heart, Hindmarsh.

The TLM is a legitimate expression of worship in the Holy Roman Catholic Church; as it has long been the liturgical tradition. It can coexist harmoniously alongside the Novis Ordo mass...... this plurality is enriching in the worshipping of the one true God. Glory be to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

The traditional Latin Mass has a reverence and beauty that is appreciated and received by many people. I attend both the Latin Mass and Novus Ordo Mass. . Both have their own unique advantages and blessings. The Latin has a deeper prayer of repentance and including everyone in the Sacrifice of Calvary. The use of sacramentals like incense plus the great respect and inclusion of many serving on the altar plus other detail so enhances the worship of Jesus Christ our King and loving Saviour. I urge with respect and confidence tge most Reverent Archbishop Patrick O’Regan to allow the continuance of all of these Latin Masses. Yours faithfully - Mr and Mrs Michael Pierce and wife Dorothy (BTheo, BA., Post Grad Dip in Social Science (Counselling) and Certificate in Spiritual Direction.)

Deeply disappointed that this is happening. Our Church should be encouraging and supporting people's attendance of Holy Mass, not directing where they practise their faith. I will not be giving anymore financial support to the church if this goes ahead .

Please ensure the TLM is maintained for the local parish community. The TLM has a powerful impact on many people and has brought my family closer to God in our faith.

Our family attend with my parents, Fr. Thoroughgoods Latin Mass. We have watched the parish attendees grow, we are financially generous and can't understand why the Mass is being stopped and Fr. Thoroughgood has been stopped too. He is an excellent priest.
We are so so disappointed and frustrated by this action.

The extraordinary right has a beautiful place in the Church. For me it reminds me that God is a mystery, but not the kind I would be fearful of, but the kind that is all powerful and a loving Father. The Mass at Walkerville, in particular, has that beautiful feel to it because it is silent and it is celebrated so reverently by Fr David. It's a place I can feel God and remind myself that even though life has so many unknown aspects, there is a loving God looking out for me - a God who is a mystery, but is so loving. I would hate to see this Mass disappear.

I respectfully appeal to the Most Reverend Patrick O'Regan, Archbishop of Adelaide, to reverse his decision to cancel the Traditional Latin Mass at St Monica's Walkerville and Sacred Heart, Hindmarsh, and to permit its celebration beyond Easter 2023.

Please do not deny us the Traditional Latin Mass in Walkerville and Hindmarsh. I have attended 7 different Churches for various short terms, and have finally found one that truely resonates with Father David Thoroughgood, and his Traditional Latin Mass service.
I pray that this mass continues to be said at this location.
