Is it the unusable middle court or the court adjacent to the old firehouse you want to convert?

Please keep this tennis court! It's such a great place for all ages to enjoy a lifelong sport. It's important to the community to have public courts.

Tennis is a sport that is used by all ages. Public courts are a treasure!

We already don't have enough public courts in Montclair. These courts are perfect because of their proximity to the schools.

Please preserve the courts. Tennis is a wonderful, athletic and social game and it would be a shame to take away one of the few public courts still available. We can't all join pricey clubs to play!!!

Save the courts! They are diminishing all over the bay area.

A "useful landmark" that tennis court. Find another place for skateboarding. Instead, resurface it for $5k and watch the tennis increase!!!! Signed, Stan Korich

I grew up playing on these tennis courts. To take any away would be a shame. There are hardly any public tennis courts as it is.

Tennis courts are not appropriate places for skate boards.

If it's such a big loss for the community, how come the lower court and court behind the Rec Center are sitting unused most week days and weekends? With flat land at a premium, this does not serve the community well. The park needs to accommodate a variety of users, not just tennis players.

So my child cannot skateboard anywhere in Montclair? A skate area would help keep them out of other unwanted areas. My kids have just as much rights to use public areas as your kids do.

Piedmont also has tons of public use courts! The Skateboard park in Piedmont is not easily accessible.

Skateboards can go anywhere - tennis, not so portable. Save our courts!

This would be a big loss for the community, adults and kids alike.

Please keep the skateboards out of Montclair park in general! They have taken over basketball, pathways, stairs etc.

There is a skateboard park about a mile away and no other nearby public tennis court alternatives.

I took tennis lessons on this court as a kid, it's valuable for lessons.

Plenty of other areas to build a skateboard park.
