As an economist I'd like to suggest an addendum: when unemployment starts to rise we should allow the Dudleys to break tables in order to create jobs, broken tables lead to increased demand for new tables and it will put people back to work. But in good times the Dudleys should not be allowed to break tables as the increased demand for tables will lead to an increase in the price of tables, making life harder for families and small businesses alike.
