This is ridiculous. Leave the swap meet alone my family has been selling there for 15 years and it helps us so much with bills.

This is unbelievable! We have been going to the swap meet since the early 80's. It was fun with my kids and now my grandkids. You can get breakfast and lunch, snowcones or churros, take the kid's on pony rides, listen to live music and shop or sell there as well. It's a family tradition. We still go almost every Sunday!!! Its a vital part of our economy for buyers and sellers. Palmdale needs to back off and leave this family venue alone!!

I grew up at this place every weekend since I was a little kid. It would be such a shame to lose this history. Palmdale needs to leave our local spots alone!

I was told this story by my grandpa and I laugh about it. My grandpa originally had the swap meet idea and was getting vendors together on weekends across the street from the current swap meet. My uncle Rodney Bruce thought he was crazy at first but with the small success's they went forward with building and improving upon the land. The Bruce family has worked hard over the years to make the swap meet what it is today. I take great pride in knowing my grandpas simple idea grew legs through Rodney and is the greatest example of American entrepreneurship. But even more than that this place has been a place for many families to achieve thier American dream. Please everyone share and push this petition and hopefully we can end the city of palmdale's attack on the small family buisness.
Amazing memories and people
