How Cana tourist attraction as popular as the sun centre close? It brings in visitors regardless of the weather and those same visitors spend money in the town thereby helping the economy. Wil an Olympic size swimming pool do the same? I think not, only the select few will use it and only those few will be able to afford it, hence less visitors to Rhyl. Shame on you DCC

Me and my whole family learnt to swim at the Nova. Me and my brother are now part of of the swim team there, we currently have a lesson base of 250 children. Closing the centre would mean 250 kid's being without a place to learn to swim..

D.c.c should be ashamed of themselves, it's hard enough for people to get jobs in the area as it is without forcing more places to shut! The nova in Prestatyn is where a lot of local people take their children swimming without having to pay extortionate prices!!! Someone needs to step in and save the sun centre the nova and the bowls club

Closing a tourist attraction in a tourist resort is as ridiculous as it sounds. £10m on a bridge to then close an attraction because you need to save £50k beggars belief.

Why build a bridge next to another bridge which we didn't need. Then you decide to close a gym, swimming pool & bowls centre that keeps people fit & healthy, plus keeps some kids off the streets! Here's an idea for you why not just take a bull doser & flatten Rhyl & move everything to Prestatyn. Chris Ruane don't come knocking on my door or phoning our house when you want votes you might not like what I have to say!!!

getting rid of these places would be getting rid of the last few good things we have! I always thought I would one day take my children to all of them as I was taken when I was a child. closing even one of them would be a massive mistake and would cause yet more upset and emptiness as too many things the locals actually love and enjoy are being taken away... the unemployment level is going through the roof as it is! stop forcing people to leave our town through having no choice....

this is a disgusting waste of current resources available both both towns. we should be looking at supporting health and fitness based attractions in our resort towns.

I don't use the facilities much myself, but since I was a teen these centres have been the heart and soul of the area for residents and holidaymakers. How can it be cost effective to totally rebuild anyway?
