Save the Stone Zoo

Closing the Stoneham Zoo would be a travesty. I do not live in Stoneham however I pass the zoo every Thursday and it always amazes me that the parking lot is packed! Even in the winter months their doors are opened! The Stoneham Zoo has been a part of many Family Traditions, School Trips, etc. . Please keep the Stone Zoo open for many more years to come. I am appealing to you to release the capital funding, approved but not released by the Patrick Administration, to support the Stone Zoo. All the people of Massachusetts "Approve this message!"

Please appropriate the necessary funding to allow this timeless landmark to continue its operations. It is a vital piece of Stoneham's history and would be a tragedy to lose it.

Please help save our zoo. Having such a wonderful, educational place for our children to visit and learn about animals that they may never get to see in the wild is something worth saving. Thank you!

Have been going to stone zoo for years with our young children. Huge asset to our community!

My 4 brothers and sisters and I have been going to the Stone Zoo for 50 years. I brought my own children and for the past 20 years, my daycare kids! Many generations have enjoyed the wonders of the Zoo. Please support this important asset to Stoneham. It helps make our community the wonderful town it is today.

As a resident of Stoneham I am appealing to you to release the capital funding, approved but not released by the Patrick Administration, to support the Stone Zoo. The Stone Zoo is a cultural and economic asset to our community. A loss of accreditation would translate to a major blow to our local economy. I thank you for your consideration of this urgent request.

The Stone Zoo is such a special and historical place for both Stoneham and the towns that surround it. Nothing in this town is more deserving to stay than the Stone Zoo.

Grew up in stoneham, interned at the zoo. It is an asset to the community and helped me develop the animal care career I hold today.

My hometown zoo needs to be saved. An important community resource.

My children have already formed lasting memories that developed at the Stone Zoo. I wish for many more memories for my family and countless others. The Zoo is a landmark and the animals would only benefit from staying in what they now know as home. Please save the Zoo.

The Stone Zoo is such an integral part of my childhood and I want the opportunity to share that when I have children. The zoo fostered my love of animals and passion for conservation and I don't want to see the good work they do be lost. Please consider funding their programs.

Please save the zoo. I have been taking my 5 year old son to the zoo weekly for years. He would be devastated! Learning about animals is the reason he learned the alphabet among other things! It's very important to keep for our community and all future generations!

I grew up going every year and now I bring my kids and it is a fun day.
