URGENT PETITION TO AVOID EVICTION THIS YEAR.

Pennsylvania's Department of General Services and Departmen of Labor & Industry must allow the Stahr Center to continue in the former National Guard facility at 438 N. Queen Street in Lancaster, PA.

The Center houses the Theater of the Seventh Sister as its main tenant, as well as the Lancaster School of Ballet, Lancaster Creative Reuse and a dozen other mostly arts-related businesses.

Lancaster is known as a cultural center and the loss of the community-friendly Stahr Center must not be tolerated. Rather than find funding to bring its building to code the State wants to sell the facility.

Those who value community-based arts and sustainability efforts must speak up for the preservation of the Stahr Center. The State must allow the Center time to generate funds for the building to be brought to code, and must assist in generating those funds.
