we should just go ahead and do away with all American history the American Indians are probably not too fond of the US flag

This is a shame for politics to change the names of those parks to Honor those men on the Confederacy. I am all for those Confederate Generals, Black men, Hispanics, Hebrews, and Native Americans to be Honored like the Military people are today.

Please stop ruining history.

If they're going to ban the Confederate battle flag or any monument or reference to the Confederacy then they need to ban the U.S. flag too. Slaves were brought over from Africa & forced into slavery in the North, Native Americans were robbed of their lands & nearly exterminated under the stars & stripes so should it not be banned then too? DEO Vindice!

This is American history and that's the bottom line... If this offends people then we're in trouble because the American flag offends half the world.... And proof is ISIS and Americans stomping on the flag..

These park names and our battle flag represent our heritage foe our brave ancestors who fought and died for a noble cause and it wasn't slavery!!

The liberal federal government is trying to eradicate all traces of our forefathers. The statues in Memphis, the battle flag of the Confederacy and anything of or from the old south has been targeted. All true southern men must band together to prevent these traitors, who wish to rewrite history in order to promote their liberal agenda.

We need to protect our heritage which is being taken away from us

It's time to put a stop to this ! This is no different than those savages in the middle east distroying christian monuments and tombs . Rule or be Ruled !

All moneys go to the legal fight and to buy t-shirts and commemorative coins to sell. The city is using our tax dollars to fight us. Please help. Councilmen and lawyers threaten to remove the statues and exhume Bedford and his wife Mary and move them. Please help us fight this!
