We don't want these condos in Santa Clara, they will ruin our beautiful city, and bring in too much additional traffic.... i don't think renters of the condos will care about maintaining the integrity and beauty of Santa Clara... this city which we love

I do not feel that this fits in the agriculture, nor the homes. Further as you look south from the Jacob Hamlin Home it will be a distraction from the historic district. This would look good in the Rental Units above Lava Ridge. Please do not change the zoning.

I have seen the city council not keep their word before. I worry about what this would do to Santa Clara. We already have a huge vacation rental in the heights.

This plan will ruin our historic downtown area with constant traffic and congestion. This plan would jeopardize our access to the recreation area in the South Hills.

I oppose this purposed zone change!!! The purpose of a current increase in population in Santa Clara is stated by those who move here is that they are here because of the atmosphere of a small town. The desire to maintain that feeling is felt by all who live here. I know this is expressing feelings not facts. Yet it is evident that the City Counsel has pushed this (what is fact to me) aside and is being blinded by the desire to increase the value of our community from small town to city feel with the old song of the money it will bring to our community. It seems that what money will come in will also go quickly out to install signal lights (several), another access road, increased need to maintain roads, tremendous increase in traffic, increase in crime rate, decrease in safety for our children. The facts are important but even more important is the need to listen to the voice of the people.

Keep Sanata Clsra small. We do not want the west side of Washington county to turn out like the eastsouth side (Washington and the fields) traffic is horrible over there and will only get worse no matter what the cities and counties do. More people = mores cars = more traffic! Listen to the people of the area and please don't get greedy!!!

I oppose the said zone change for the following reason. Our city cannot handle the increased traffic on Santa Clara drive. We live on the main drive and as it stands, cannot get out of our driveway without waiting for a break in traffic. Sometimes we can wait for a good 3 to 5 minutes and it is very frustrating. Also, vacation rentals / resort will take away from what Santa Clara stands for and what we have come to love about our city. Do we have the water resources for the growth? Money is not everything, especially if it cuts back on quality of life here as we know it. You cannot drink money. What about crime rates? Will they go up? What about the millions that will be spent on another access? Will it wipe out Ramona Hafen's home and the orchard? What about traffic lights? With the increased traffic that we have had over the past 5 years, we almost need one anyway. The corner of the fruit stand has always been dangerous and more traffic will only be a detriment to that corner. The city of Santa Clara had a hearing for concerned citizens. I could not attend as I had other engagements at the time, but was well informed that quite a few people attended and the majority were in opposition. Seems to me, like all other government entities, that the city already had their mind made up. The only reason there was a hearing was for legality purposes. The mind and will of the people mean nothing to our elected government officials when money is involved. If I remember correctly, we went through this same process when Santa Clara Drive was reconstructed. The people did not want it and did the city listen? No! Is it pretty? Yes, but that is entirely beside the point. Did it and does it still make any sense and is it really an improvement? Not at all. It just caused more hassles and inconveniences to those of us who live on the street and those visiting when it comes to parking, making left and right hand turns, etc. Please consider the co
