If Council truly believe they are a city of choice such social hubs should be encouraged. This area hosts a number of no residential businesses so needs to be seen through such light commercial lens

Save the social. I'm a regular and find it an awesome place to eat or just have a coffee. No problems with parking. A great place to hang out

The social is an intrinsic part of the local trade community. It is where business owners and client across all aspects of trade can meet in an informal atmosphere. The concept and delivery are both well done and made with professionalism. The fact this petition is made indicates a direct competitors complaint to council and is underhanded. Burleigh Social is a fantastic local cafe with a large following on social media and a business that supports the community in many ways. It is one of the few dog friendly cafe's in the area which is just one of it's major draw cards. Parking in the area will not change if the cafe is closed. Most of the street parking is utilised by staff working at the businesses in the area. If BS is closed there will be no change in the street parking spots. Many of the Cafe's cliental walk or ride to the cafe as it is in such an awesome location.
Burleigh Social employees local people and is a great business which the GCCC should be supporting.

Top Cafe and great for the local scene. It would be a travesty to shut the ledgends down. If that comes to fruition I will cease paying council rates. Up the Burleigh Social!!!
