Burleigh social is the best Cafe on the coast! It adds more value to the area then any other Cafe. I strongly urge the council to support this business and help the area remain a destination where family and friends can come to enjoy great food and coffee in a relaxed social environment for many years to come.

We live locally to Burleigh Social and are not bothered by cars parking to visit the cafes. We love the amazing local businesses we have at our door and fully support this petition to keep Social open!!

councils should be doing what needs to be done inspecting roads overgrown parklands etc...oh no lets shut down a coffee shop,seriously we should have a say as to where our rates go and how they are spent.

When I first moved to the Gold Coast (Mountain View Ave) there was no cafe culture AT ALL. I came from Newcastle where the cafe scene was thriving and didn't understand why it was so hard to find a place to make me a hot breakfast and a coffee while I sat and read the newspaper. In fact, it was hard to find any of the cultural scenes familliar to me; pubs and breweries, live music venues, art spaces. Places like Burleigh Social raised the bar on the Gold Coast. I walk with my family to Hibiscus Haven for breakfast and coffee at Burleigh Social regularly. I take guests visiting from interstate there and head there for a burger with friends before a tipple at Black Hops brewery. I love living in Burleigh because of the strong sense of community here. Our local cafes established and continue to develop this culture by providing such enjoyable relaxing spaces for us to engage in the simple pleasures that make us human. Save the Social!
