This venue has been a staple in the music community and would be a huge loss if demolished. The city of LA does not need more living facilities or stores. What the city needs is a thriving music scene in which to bring lovers of music together. This venue has paved the way for so many great bands and has inspired a great deal of people to pick up instruments and form their own. To say goodbye to this venue would be tragic. No more living facilities. No more stores. No more high end restaurants. LA needs the music culture. Forget funding the pockets of multi-millionaires. Fund the music scene. Long live the Smell.

This place is a very important part of Los Angeles. The Smell has been the starting point for many musicians from the area, and is known for it's D.I.Y scene. You will literally be destroying the CBGB of L.A.

We need more places like this where art can actually happen. Where people can gather and create together in safe environment and to take that away is like taking a piece of us away. You're robbing us of our culture and the next generation of artist who will never get to see or experience a place like this if you demolition it. So I ask to please take the voices of the people of L.A. into consideration. Thank you.
