This venue is too important to the all ages music community in LA. Keep it open for the kids.

Not only save The Smell, but everything else as well. The Downtown Independent, The New Jalisco Bar & Five Star Bar. All vital to the area.

The Smell is precious and important. This space has enabled people of all ages to forge important works and connections in downtown LA for many years. There is simply nothing like it. To demolish this building would represent a complete lack of awareness or interest in history, culture, and sustainability in Los Angeles.

If there is no response to public comment, then perhaps public outrage will have to do.

The smell is/has been a part of so many people's lives, including me and my friends. I don't know what we would've done or where else we could have gone as teenagers for fun and affordable shows that made us feel like we actually fit in somewhere. We all have amazing memories that we can attribute to the smell, and it would be a shame for others to not be able to experience the smell and the sense of community that has resulted from it. Save the smell!!!!

We need to keep all ages punk venues alive in a world where everything is being torn down and turned into furniture stores. Good live music should be appreciated and given places where everyone can hear and enjoy in a safe environment.

I am a Londoner but a fan of L.A. bands and the Smell has a significance within the songs I listen to like Bloody Bandaid by Cherry Glazerr. Keep it for the next generation, it serves such a cultural significance!
