The Smell is very important to many people who are a part of the local band scene. It's a place for families and friends to enjoy live music in a safe place. Please don't take this away from us

The Smell has been an important international meeting point for people of all ages for almost two decades. It has provided a space for kids to focus on their talents and learn important skills through volunteering. There is no other space like it in Los Angeles and I hope that it will continue to exist for many generations to come.

Not only would this demolition take away LA's only all-ages music venue, it would also take away LA's only Mexican drag queen bar and independent movie theater. So much downtown history and community spirit would be lost, just like that. L & R Group can find another place for a parking lot.
