I say boycotts and protests and lots and lots of noise on social media. Screw this.

For historical reasons and for the alumni who come back to reminisce, this landmark needs preserved.

The positives of this bar are through the roof. I have been to every Big Ten school in the country multiple times over the past decade (+ every major Big Ten bar) and for fun, I have been compiling a list of the top 50 bars of the Big Ten. Right now, the Skeller ranks 3rd on my list of the best bars in the Big Ten. When you add up positives.....the Zagat rated food, the versatility of the venue (3 interior bars, the patio, the restaurant area and the back room for the band), the age and history of the location, plus they can serve you cases of beer......no other bar in the nation can claim any better. It is the oldest operating bar in PA too, WTF! It was once rated as the #1 college bar in the country and now it is closing. Seriously! You have to be kidding me! Let the millennials go to Champs Downtown and Bill Pickle's, there are literally 1.5 million PSU alums from 1933 to 2017 with roots and memories at the Skeller and that's what makes this a PR nightmare for Herlocher's.

2014 Alum. The skeller's been one of my favorite bars since trivia in school to visiting State College as an alumnus. College Ave wouldn't be the same without it!

It's just wrong! The Skellar is a part of State College history. It's iconic...think more than twice before you destroy it. I know I will not set foot in the new venue just on principal.

The Skeller is just as important as the Nittany Lion Shrine, Old Main and Beaver Stadium. An iconic bar that ALL of us Alumni go to and spend tons of money. The loss of which would irreparably damage the other local businesses. I would never step foot in whatever they replace it with. THIS MUST NOT HAPPEN!!!

As a PSU Alum who grew up hearing stories about the Skeller from her PSU Alum father, it would be sacrilegious to close such an iconic part of downtown State College.
