The 'Skeller is a true piece of Americana. Yet the historical institution, which is a thriving business, will soon be only a memory. More history erased as simply as wiping a chalkboard. It's inconceivable the Herlochers can't agree on mutually acceptable lease terms with current tenants. Sad. Very sad!

This establishment has been part of the culture of State College and Penn State for generations. It is NOT merely a bar or eatery. It is tradition. It cannot and should not be replaced. I assure you, whatever establishment opens if the demise of the "Skellar" occurs, will be vehemently boycotted on principle by many.

The Skeller is an iconic piece of state College history. It's unique and rare. What is gonna go there instead another starbucks? Chili's? Come on! Do the right thing. Declare the historical landmark.

One of the few remaining places that remind me of how wonderful PSU was before it became a monster of new buildings everywhere
