The Confederate memorial is on hallowed ground, sitting silently with other memorials and headstones of people of all cultures who stood together to protect their families, homes and independence. This statue also represents fallen Hispanic confederate soldiers. Hispanic families also provided their sons to Tennessee regiments and fought in battle engagements in Tennessee soil.
