dip must be the short version of dipsticks .who obviously have not thought it through, has nobody thought open the fence and put food down for them to follow.out at their own speed and put it down regularly so they come out eventually, to lead them away from the fence with them being skittish annimals

Don't be dicks, herd them out. To say they injure themselves is rubbish, you are intending to kill them!

why kill these beautiful animals,i love seeing these animals in the heart of cumbria.i was born and brought up in this county.why dont you move them to good grazing ground .if they are in the way instead of doing a quick nasty fix of bloodshed

If opening the fence up won't work, why can't they be tranquillized and moved?

Why do these people think that death is the easiest solution. He built the fence he can remove it temporarily to allow these beautiful animals to return to their natural habitat.

I find this utterly unacceptable and inhumane. I back the Parish Council that this is totally unnecessary.

Shouldn't even have to HAVE a petition!!!! It's a no brainer, do what's right for these animals.

Barbaric, inhumane and wrong. Sellafield Ltd and the DIP are taking extremely brash, and down-right lazy, actions towards these deer who, through no fault of their own, do not deserve death.
