Between the lines do I read: rounding them up and moving them is too much trouble and, more importantly, too costly. Despite their flightiness, they're still herd animals - like sheep. Create the gap in the fence and move them quietly & gently out of those thickets with sheepdogs. Since we want a no-pressure approach I'd sugges borrowing some lambing dogs ...... or maybe even SARDA could help.

Sellafield Ltd built the fence which then traped the deer. Seems to me Sellafield Ltd should remove the fence not cull precious + healthy wildlife! When the fence was planned did they not realise deer lived there? There must be a better answer to a human created problem than killing animals. Please engage brain and work it out!

We need to treat our wildlife with respect. The slaughter of deer as an easy option is not acceptable. Please take another course of action.

the deer should not have to forfeit their lives because we humans erected a fence!
