As a young Health Physicist working at Hunterston B Power Station I was grateful to British Energy for the lengths they went to rescue wild animals unfortunate enough to be affected by their operations. As a result they received widespread praise in the national praise. Good PR makes good business sense and good common sense. You erect two security fences in deer habitat and for this you cull them?! Keep in mind the loyalties of your so-called advisers the Deer Initiative to the pro-hunt and venison lobbies.

This is the lazy way out and they get their 'sport' too! This is totally unacceptable in a humane society. Please free these deer.

The Animal Aid website states: 'Rather than releasing them, the company has agreed to cull them – on the advice of the Deer Initiative, which is largely made up of pro-hunt, pro-shoot, pro-stalking interests' - sometimes I think these people enjoy killing animals - this is just an excuse for them to exercise their bloodlust.

Deer are beautiful creatures. Hunting them down and shooting them is a travesty of justice.

Another dismal, cruel and ignorant intervention by men who have sh*t for brains. Stop killing things and start working out how we earthlings can co exist more harmoniously. I am sick of testosterone ruining this planet.
