Sea otters are cute and important members of the ecosystem. They keep the sea urchin population down so that the ecosystem will stay in balance.If the Sea Otters go extinct then the marine ecosystem will take a turn for the worst. The kelp and algae will be the first to go. Then the fish population will starts to decrease which will lead to all the predators of the fish decreasing in number. Soon, all you will sea are sea stars, a bunch of sea urchins and very small patches of vegetation. We believe that if we can raise enough money, conservation systems will receive more help and be able to teach people and save more otters.

The feedback from local wildlife experts confirms that our focus on kelp forest health is the right path forward. Please email your local representative today to demand funding for otter conservation programs. We are currently drafting a formal proposal for the state environmental board.
