Still visit every time I can when I'm in the area love this staple of southern and the memories I had there would be very sad to see it go. SAU is a large campus I'm sure another location could be found.

I love the CK and want it to stay open, but I am open to ithe idea of incorporating the culinary students into the management of the CK. I do think it is very important for the administration to communicate openly with students about this issue. The CK has been operating in the black, of anything, the cafeteria, which is in the red, should be the eatery making serious changes and suffering the cutbacks or adapting for the culinary program.

The CK was a Sunday tradition during my time at SAU and I still stop in to grab items from the menu. The CK is an icon for students, staff and alumni of SAU.

I can't imagine SAU without the CK. I still have friends today that I met there. It's totally like others have said, it's a ministry to the community and history to the campus. Please don't close it! There's bound to be another alternative.

Some things are not meant to change. The CK is part of Southern's history and needs to remain in its future.

I am a community student and the CK is the main place on campus that I eat. I go there and grab a burrito when I'm running to class, I sit with people, eat, and enjoy the atmosphere that is like none other on this campus. I see it as especially a ministry to the area because community people such as Little Debbie's workers come there as well. To cut it down just to get more traffic elsewhere would be a shame. I honestly believe that if this went through, the difference in other campus eateries would not be much because they still don't have the meal options and atmosphere that we students are looking for in the Campus Kitchen.

Please do not close the CK. The food is great and the campus needs a more casual place to eat. KR's just isn't the same as the CK. If you close the CK, you would not only close it for SAU students, but hundreds of Collegdale Academy and CAMS students that like to go there on the way to school, during lunch and after school as well. I was a student in the 1980s and the CK had great burgers and milkshakes then and they still do today!

I love the CK's beakfast! Without breakfast I have no reason to go there at all. Besides no other place on campus has as good breakfast with a price I can afford. Not to mention the amazing service and environment there. Let's keep it the way it is and discontinue the VM's breakfast instead.

I will mention two cases here in MA: AUC and Camp Winnekeag. AUC had a small dinning hall that did serve the student body well enough but it was decided that a new one was needed when in reality there was no reason for it. They built a new one anyway and the cozy, comfortable cafeteria where everybody gathered to talk, study, hang out, and snack out was closed. Ending result the new cafeteria was not well received by the student body and it was a major fiasco. Camp Winnekeag had a small dinning lodge that had an amazing fire place place, was comfortable, cozy and people enjoyed hanging out in there when the night was cold, or there was time left over at the end of the day. Same thing it was decided that a new dinning lodge was needed, all that the new dinning lodge accomplished was to eliminate the nice, cozy, comfortable lodge we had and hanging out was gone. To quote an old saying "If it's not broken don't fix it".

I work here, so to see this place close would be a pain and I would have to go look for a job somewhere else. I also enjoy working with the people I work with.

The CK is a great dining option for the students at Southern. I hope all options are considered before closing down a place that richly contributes to the unique cultural experience of SAU.

Exactly, and why does it the school have to be right there? Pick a better location please. :S
