That tree is an essential part of the house's hearing and cooling system, and had obviously been so for a long time. Let it be!

Let's move the San Pedro House if necessary - it's easier to replace than this tree.

This is our natural heritage and should be investigated more thoroughly by arborists.

BLM, please don't be hasty in taking down this magnificent tree. Am assuming public liability issues are the concern so keeping the public at a distance is key, right? Then make it happen with the permanent fencing. The environment suffers too much for the sake of giving in to every human whim. It's high time we stepped back and paid respect to Mother Nature.

Trim the tree properly in the right seasons. STOP dictating what the BLM is going to do or has decided. Listen to the people who you work for BLM employees. Take care of the tree in the first place and leave it to live for hundreds more years.

A permanent fence to protect visitors would allow the tree to stay longer. Please do not needlessly destroy the trees!

Please let this tree die of old age. How would you like it if we ended your life just because you were old and failing? You are supposed to protect the natural world.

This giant tree is irreplaceable. It was likely alive when Geronimo rode through this area. If this tree can be saved, it should be saved. We are losing so many of our unique life forms around the world , we should do what we can, when we can, to preserve a unique life. Please don't cut down this tree.

Please let this magnificent, historic tree live. There is a fence around it. People need to use their common sense to avoid accidents.

What a desolate place it will be without the large cottonwoods. Birders will no longer bird around the San Pedro House. Revenues will go down. The extreme cost of removing the Great Tree (a.k.a. Plaza Tree) to the west of the San Pedro House is a waste of taxpayer money (mine included). There is no threat of public harm as it is fully fenced. This removal is a wrongheaded move.
