The childcare was a vital resource for me when my twin sons attended when they were younger and I was working as an adjunct at the college. I hope we can find a way to keep it open for the students and employees who need it now.

Hello I am the aunt of Kai Renee Johnson who has been attending this school for most of her young life. To rip her from the living and nurturing staff and her “best friends “ that she is so excited daily to see at school would be devastating. It would also negatively impact my sister, who is studying to be a nurse and has only one year to go! She is low income and a single mother. She is the only one in our family in jersey and this school is her primary support system! Please reconsider the negative effects and make a way to provide continuity of care for these children and their parents!

RVCC CC is what made it possible for me to attend college while working. It was affordable and the staff took an active part in nurturing my children. It’s a shame that it’s being closed. In a post covid world when we return to normalcy this is what will be most needed

This daycare is vital for working families and students with children. The genuine care the staff gives these children is a vital step in the trusting relationship the children have with the staff. Please do not close this very needed facility.

There was a lot of mention of the affordability of the childcare provided by the Children’s Campus, which is true. However, we love the center so much that we would be willing to pay an increased tuition if it made the difference and allowed the center to remain open. I feel that proposing a rate increase to parents BEFORE deciding to close down would have been a welcomed option if we knew that was our ultimatum.

I was able to become a nurse because I had the Children’s Campus available for my children. The director worked with me through the year my husband was deployed to Afghanistan to ensure I had the support I needed. The teachers recognized my son’s speech delay and assisted me getting Early Intervention. This center is too valuable to lose.

The Children's campus provided valuable early childhood education for my children. Over the years, it has provided this opportunity for
numerous members of RVCC college community. Please consider looking at options to keep it open and to sustain it in the future.

I know that in fact the day care at the college provides excellent care for children and such an important service for their parents. It certainly bodes well for this institution as an important part of the community.
Please do not close the Daycare!
